WAFFLE US

In 2044, a massive solar flare destroyed the grid, throwing the world into chaos. Wars broke out, governments crumbled, and resource struggles erupted around the world. Despite massive global change and an end to life as we once knew it, one establishment retains its former glory and cultural importance: a chain of hyper-resilient roadside diners we now just call Safe Houses. Amid the upheaval of technological collapse, Safe Houses make up a trail of reliable stopping points for anyone moving through the southeastern quadrant of the great wastelands once known as the United States. Between them? Well, you never know who you might meet. 

What is WAFFLE US?

WAFFLE US is a tabletop roleplaying game. Similar to other roleplaying games, it involves a group of 2-5 players, role-playing characters they create, and a single Game Master (GM), running the game world itself.

In the game, you'll play as one of six specialized classes (Baker, Drifter, Prepper, Trucker, Lawyer, or Nurse Practitioner) and work with your party of travelers to navigate the postapocalyptic landscape.

Over the course of the game, your group of travelers will be driving across the ruins of what used to be the United States, traveling between "Safe Houses," a network of breakfast diners that represent the last remnants of civilization since the Flare. There, travelers meet up, trade goods, and take jobs from the the Network, the organization in charge of making sure every Safe House is stocked and operational.

Outside of Safe Houses, the world is a dangerous place, full of hostile Ruffians, deadly Mutants, mysterious Cryptids, and rogue Machines making life on the road a challenge worthy of only the bravest survivors.

WAFFLE US is an AI-free hobby project made by the three nerdy humans of Cool Crimes Press.
